This is the amazing Gramdeck tape-recorder from Andrew Merryfield LTD! The recorder is to be slipped on to your turntable (below, left) which drives the spools. The record/play head is connected to a pre-amp control unit (below, right). The pre-amp is then connected to a radio or an amplifier. When you want to rewind the tape, you just put the rewind weight on the left spool and release the pressure roller(!) Very reliable...
